  On the trailer launch he shared some of his thoughts on his childhood-actor Salman Khan saying: ‘This film wouldn’t have been possible without Salman Bhai. 20 years back Salman bhai made Raju and prem iconic, he is the original and he will always be the original Raja and Prem. Thanks salman for making the original and hopefully he will like my work in ‘Judwaa 2’. This is the second time wen I and Salman will be collaborating for a movie. Salman bhai had lent his voice for Bappa in the movie ‘Main Tera Hero’, and in ‘Judwaa 2’ he has done an amazing cameo’.

After directing his son Varun in ‘Main Tera Hero’ in 2014, David Dhawan dropped off the radar by staying away from making films for the next three years. The director, who’s known for his masterful handling of comedy films, had also directed the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Judwaa’ and promises to retain the flavour of the original film.

So when I got the opportunity to do this film, I wanted to do it because I wanted children to come to the theatre, I want families to come to the theatre, and that has been my no 1 thing since I became an actor. I remember some of the best times I have had with my family and friends have been when I’ve gone to the theatre.’
